week 22 - landscape at dawn

I don't wanna brag, but I'm really proud of this picture ;) Might be my best landscape picture so far.

week 19 - I think I was manic...

...when a friend and I went hiking in Converses when it was about 22 degrees(about -5 degrees Celsius). When we got home we couldn't feel our feet or hands anymore. But hey, it was a fun trip and we've got some nice pics. And we have to get used to the cold weather, in December it'll be around 14 degrees...

Or rather in color?

week 18 - just another lonely tree...

Because I don't have much time...just another tree...very simple. I hope he likes to be alone or he'll feel very lonely since there aren't any other trees around him...poor guy.

week 17 - moving trees and the last shafts of sunlight

Almost all people on facebook like the edited version more than the original, but I think I should post the original anyway.

And then I saw some moving trees! They used their limbs like arms and I'm sure they'll grab everybody who's stupid enough to walk near them. Maybe these people will get eaten. I didn't wanna get eaten so I decided to stay far away and took a picture from there.

I think my imagination is too big.

week 16 - the colors of fall

I got up at six thirty this morning (and it's Sunday!) because I wanted to take some pictures of the morning fog. Only there was no fog. Oh well. The colors of fall look just as nice :)
I decided that only trees would be too boring so I placed my bike in the picture and because there weren't any other people (of course! It was seven in the morning in the the middle of nowhere!) I shot another self portrait.

And yesterday we went feeding some ducks and suddenly a goose appeard and decided no one would notice that she wasn't a duck and she just swam in the middle of them, wich looked kinda funny ;)

This is from yesterday as well.
I shot it while driving in the car because I didn't get a chance to stop somewhere... very blurred and out of focus but maybe it works in this case.

week 8 - Altfels: lizards and Co.

Jenni and I went hiking in...I don't even know exactly where, somewhere on the border to Rhineland-Palatinate. Our destination was a rock called "Altfels", a really pretty place! I didn't even know we had such beautiful places in our area.
We carved our names in the stone...

It actually doesn't look that big. Copy and paste: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/545/img4609q.jpg/
...and I also managed to photograph a lizard. At first it didn't wanna come out of his crevice and then he was so fast that it was difficult to photograph him. But I realized: That's something I like: taking pics of wild animals. I don't care if I have to wait for an hour until the animal stops hiding. It's fascinating to show how they life, just how they are, just moments of life. Nothing looks contrived or posed, I'm just showing things like they are.

week three - just a normal busy work day

I'm not late, no, I'm not. It's still Sunday and pictures of week three are follwing. I've been a little down the past days and just didn't wanna take pictures... It sucks not to have a reason to be sad.

From Monday, when I visited Camila, a friend in Paris (which was awesome! I already miss her.)
I was trying to emphasize the speed of the subway by using a long shutter speed. I didn't have tripod with me (a little stupid of me) and I know there are so many photos showing a blurry train or subway, but anyway...

week one - looks like it's gonna rain...

Hi there,

here we are: week one. All week the sun was shining and partially it was really hot(about 30 C and about 85 F, I know, that's nothing compared to Texas). Sunny days are really not the best days to take landscapes pictures, that's why I got so happy when it started raining this afternoon. I love the feeling of raindrops on my skin and the noise on the ground when the drops fall on it.
But I was worried about my camera, so I waited until the rain stopped for a while and went to this field. It would have looked so boring with a nice blue sky, but I think it doesn't look too bad with these dramatic dark clouds.
What do you think?
