week 21 - A rainy evening...

...doesn't keep German people from going to Christmas markets.
Okay, just because I don't have other photos to show this week.

I'm pretty sure they get really dizzy :D

week 20 - Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus (undercover)

Guess what...today I met Santa Claus and his wife! Mr. Santa Claus had shaved his beard so I wasn't sure if he was it, but just imagine he had a long white beard (he told me he would dye it white every December and by then the beard also would be long again. Wow, it must be growing very fast.
Finally I convinced them to put on their Santa hats so everybody could see who they were...

No, not really. Just my sister and her husband, but they are as great as Santa Claus.

week 16 - the colors of fall

I got up at six thirty this morning (and it's Sunday!) because I wanted to take some pictures of the morning fog. Only there was no fog. Oh well. The colors of fall look just as nice :)
I decided that only trees would be too boring so I placed my bike in the picture and because there weren't any other people (of course! It was seven in the morning in the the middle of nowhere!) I shot another self portrait.

And yesterday we went feeding some ducks and suddenly a goose appeard and decided no one would notice that she wasn't a duck and she just swam in the middle of them, wich looked kinda funny ;)

This is from yesterday as well.
I shot it while driving in the car because I didn't get a chance to stop somewhere... very blurred and out of focus but maybe it works in this case.

week 15 - playing in the park

I'm not even sure if I'm on week 15. It's probably already week 16 but I'm too lazy to count.
My Mom, my little brother and I visited my sister Kathrin in Frankfurt and stayed with her for the weekend. Saturday evening Yogi and David came to say Hello and we went to a park not far from Kathrins apartment, which was really nice. Really enjoyed spending time with my family :)

week 14 - Sunday afternoon in Bamberg

There was a flew market...

I'm really sorry I don't have any other pictures to show. At the moment I'm only able to photograph on the weekends and I just don't have enough time to do all the stuff I wanna do.

week 9 - feelings

Sorry I'm late again.

Wasn't feeling very good those days(again?! I know.) so I didn't take many pics. I wanted to express my feelings somehow in a photograph and I didn't know how. I also didn't know why. Why should somebody take a picture of themselves showing how bad they're feeling? I don't know. I think when you're photographing something the picture always shows something about yourself. They show whether you're an optimistic, pessimistic or realistic person, they show your character, they show how you feel about certain things. Well, this is how I feel about the world right now.

My sister used this for her class.

I've seen more pictures that are similar to mine, like this one:

Of course, it's lot better that mine. (I didn't wanna leave the house those days so I had to take the photo inside.) At least there are more people who are expressing their thoughts by taking self portraits, so please don't judge me. I wasn't sure about posting this pic and I'll probably delete it in a couple of days anyway.

And here you're getting your not so depressing pic. It's actually pretty funny.

week 7 - friendship: a horse and a girl

Sometimes I think I should stop photographing. I'm trying really hard and it seems like it's not enough. Sometimes I feel really stupid, because I don't recognize some mistakes I made until I see the pics on my laptop. Naturally I don't make the same mistake again, instead I do something else that messed up the pic.

Like this time. First the light was really hard, because it was about 5.30 in the afternoon and of course the sun was still way to high in the sky. Well, but the girl didn't wanna wait so I had to make the best of this situation.
When I'm photographing people I don't like sunny days, because it makes high contrasts and ugly shadows. But when I'm photographing pets I want the sun to be behind me so the fur gets this shine...also so I can use a shorter shutter speed for action shots.
Alright, dogs and horses don't seem to care if they look into the sun, but obviously people do. Their eyes get smaller and smaller and guess what: It'll look terrible on the picture.
So I didn't know where to place horse and rider so that there weren't any shadows on them and without the girl having to look in the sun. I totally messed it up.

The light is horrible (on most of the pics), the action shots are not sharp but blurry and out of focus, the photos are just snap shots. Of course nice snap shots, I would love to have them in a frame in my room, jut because they show my horse and me. But everybody can take snapshots, I want my pictures to be good photographs, I want them to be some kind of ART.

I know I'm an perfectionist, sorry about that.

week 6 - Barefoot!

You'll never get bored when you have a camera.

I also took some pics of Jessi and her little family and it was not easy. I don't like telling people where to stand and how to look, I have no idea how I make them look good. The pics are cute because my models were really cute and pretty, but I did a really bad job in showing that *sigh*

Whatever, here is the rest as a collage:

And also a little spontaneous dog photo shooting.
